Stories have power. They can motivate, like alerting the masses to the dangers of plastics in our oceans. They can inspire, like the struggling writer who envisioned a place where writers could gather and learn. They can influence, like the Alzheimer’s scientist who knew she wanted to do brain research when she was just 17. They can educate, like the devoted wife who donated a kidney to her husband in need.
