Patty has wanted to write books for children since she was 10 years old. She holds a Master's degree in Children's Writing from Emerson College and is a member of SCBWI and the Writers' Loft in Sherborn, Mass. She writes middle grade novels, one of which was selected for Pitch Wars, and picture books, one of which was selected for Michele Hauck's Picture Book Party, another which was honored with a Brant Point Literary Prize. Originally from Long Island, New York, she now lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts with her husband and two daughters. Apart from writing, she loves spending time outside soaking up nature's gifts, or listening to her favorite show tunes.
